And besides, you don't need to wait for next year to find some culture in Istanbul. ; )

Maybe it is like tango- everybody goes to Buenos Aires to find Argentine tango and the Argentines were embarrassed to have that dance in their culture. Until they realised how many people it attracts and then they made it a cultural heritage.
