Police

There certainly are a lot of police in Istanbul.
But supposing I wanted to get one to actually come to my house and do something useful in case of an emergency.
How would I go about arranging a scenario like that?

    the number to call the police is "155". You might have seen it written on the side of the police cars. As for explaining to them where you live and what your emergency is, I hope you speak good turkish. I've never had to call the police but I know that the police that I've talked to on the street didn't seem too bilingual.
